Super Saver Representative Happy Saver’s
G1 Jockey Club Gold Cup Stakes Victory

Happy Saver (Super Saver – Happy Week / Distorted Humor), TJK Stallion Super Saver’s son, won the G1 Jockey Club Gold Cup Stakes on Saturday, 10 October with his jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. Following his latest win at the Jockey Club Gold Cup, Happy Saver preserves his victory series in the 4 races he has participated so far.

The race was held on dirt track on 2000 meters with the participation of 5 thorougbhreds (3 yo and upwards) and the finish time for 3 yo Happy Saver was 2.02.09. Mystic Guide (Ghostzapper – Music Note / A.P. Indy) finished the race in second place and was followed by Tacitus’un (Tapit – Close Hatches / First Defence), Prioritize (Tizway – Whey Sauce / Kurofune) and Name Changer (Uncle Mo – Cash’s Girl / Northern Afleet).

Happy Saver, trained by Todd Pletcher, started his racing career by winning the race, 5 ½ Length ahead of other thoroughbreds at Belmont Park on 20 June. He then, won another race 4 length ahead on 1800 meters at the dirt track of Saratoga. Super Saver representative’s latest victory, before the Jockey Club Gold Cup, was the Federico Tesio Stakes on 7 September at the Laurel Park.
