BULDUM BAK (Okawango - Fantastic Yellow / Fantastic Fellow), owned by Mr. A. Melih Kura and trained by Mr. Ergin Eren, won the Ankara Stakes (G1) with his jockey Selim Kaya, on turf track on 2800 m. with a finish time of 2.57.29. Ankara Stakes, the final leg of the Triple Crown, was held at 75th Year Racecourse on September 17th in Ankara.
Mr. Bulent Dogan’s OĞLUM BERAT (Victory Gallop-Halling Charge/Halling) came second with his jockey Halis Karatas and followed by GUNGOR BABA (Strike The Gold-Tekyıldız/Mountain Cat) with Gokhan Kocakaya and İBRA (Mountain Cat-Ortagena/Strike The Gold) with Akin Sozen.
10 thoroughbreds of 3 years old participated in the race. The prize money for the winner was 350.000 TL and the margins were as follows: 1.5 L.-Nose–1.5 L.
3 years old colt BULDUM BAK obtained his 4th victory (1st Group 1 victory) at the 12th start of his career.
Mr. Emin Colak, Deputy Governor of Ankara, presented the cup and plates to the winning owner Mr. A. Melih Kura, winning trainer Mr. Ergin Eren and winning jockey Selim Kaya.
