Annoucement about 2018 International Races The following has been agreed upon, during the meeting no. 766/Y-10, held on 20/07/2018, by the Board of High Stewards of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry; Because of the glanders disease seen in a coach horse at the Princes Island (Büyükada), Istanbul, the European Union Committee has banned the entrance of horses from Turkey into the European Union zone. The ban has been in act since December 2017 and shall be valid until 01 October 2018. In these circumstances, it is not possible for horses from the European Union countries to attend the international races to be held in September 2018 and the races cannot be run with an international status. The changes in the status and the terms and conditions of the international races which are included in the 2018 racing calendar are revised as follows; • The expression “International” of the races planned to be run internationally in the 2018 racing schedule shall be removed (with the exclusion of Queen Elizabeth II race) and they shall be run with the status, terms and conditions of local group races, • Registration and declaration procedures shall be completed in the same status as local races. • Malazgirt and IFAHR races which will be run for Purebred Arabians shall be run specifically with the horses compatible with the DHÖW (State Stud-Private-WAHO) description, • The prizemoney of the races shall be as follows:
