Our Stallions’ Progeny Leave Their Mark on Saturday, March 13th

The progeny of our stallions left their marks on Saturday March 13th, with their successful performances, when important races were held around the world.

The first victory came from our stallion Myboycharlie’s son Grandslam. With his jockey Jamie Kah, Grandslam won the G2 Clark Stakes by 6.5 lengths. The race was held on 2040 meters on turf track at the Moonee Valley Racecourse in Australia.

Grandslam, trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace obtained his first Group victory at the 10th start of his racing career. He also became the 21st Stakes winner of Myboycharlie, with his victory in G2 Clark Stakes.

Ocean Billy won G1 Auckland Cup, held on the same day on 3200 meters on turf track at Ellerslie Racecourse in New Zealand. Myboycharlie’s G2 Chairman’s Quality Stakes winner 7yo son Charles Road finished the race in second place.

On the same day, our Club’s stallions Daredevil and Super Saver’s daughters finished first and second in the G2 Azeri Stakes at Oaklawn Park. Daredevil is standing at the Lane’s End Farm on behalf of our Club for the 2021 breeding season with 25.000 US Dollars covering fee. Super Saver has been standing at the Jockey Club of Turkey farms since 2020. Daredevil’s daughter Shedaresthedevil won the G2 Azeri Stakes with her jockey Florent Geroux. Super Saver’s daughter Letruska, winner of 2 local Group Ones in Mexico and holding 5 Stakes victories, including 3 Group races after her arrival to USA, finished the race in second place, behind Shedaresthedevil.

Shedaresthedevil, having a record-breaking victory in the 146th Kentucky Oaks, in front of Daredevil’s G1 Preakness Stakes and G1 Alabama Stakes winning daughter Swiss Skydiver, obtained her 4th Group victory and increased her total number of wins to 6 at the 12th start of her racing career with G2 Azeri Stakes being her first start of the year.

The last victory of Saturday, March 13th came from Daredevil’s daughter Swiss Skydiver in the G1 Beholder Mile with his jockey Robby Albarado. She was named  “Champion 3-Year-Old Filly” at the 50th Eclipse Awards after winning the G1 Alabama Stakes and the G1 Preakness Stakes, the third leg of Triple Crown in 2020, in front of Authentic, who was named “Horse of the Year” in the 50th Eclipse Awards. Swiss Skydiver obtained her 3rd Group 1 victory and increased her total number of wins to 7 at the 13th start of her racing career with G1 Beholder Mile.
